Don’t you just love those therapists in movies who sit there looking all stoic and toss out the occasional, “So, how does that make you feel?”
yeah, me neither.
I’m a real person and I bring my real self to the therapeutic relationship. I’m not interested in pretense or “acting” like a therapist. What does interest me? People. The human experience interests me, and working with my clients to find their way through life’s inevitable difficulties to uncover its beauty and joy.
It’s not about changing the past, it’s about understanding your experience of it in a whole new way.
It's hard, but we can do hard things. Together.
I approach our work through an integrative model, utilizing theory and techniques from a multitude of orientations. Want to know more about that? Just ask. But mainly, I believe in the healing power of relationships. And that the sense of connection a healthy relationship provides is an essential aspect of well-being.
I am passionate about helping people find peace and joy in their lives. And I believe, regardless of circumstance, that this is possible for everyone. I strive to create a warm and empathic environment where honesty is paramount, and my presence and support are genuine and unwavering.

I believe we can avoid some of the pain, some of the time, but not without keeping ourselves from most of the joy, most of the time. I believe we are all more than the worst thing we’ve ever done — or that was done to us. I believe we must move, however slowly or unsurely, in the direction of what we want.
I believe it’s never too late to become who we might have been.
